Market Bag

A very dear friend of mine shared a lovely pattern for a market bag from Lily with me the other day. Well if you know me, you must know that I cannot do anything with yarn. Okay, I can make a dishcloth but that's about it. My daughter Bonnie, on the other hand, is a whiz with needles, a hook and some yarn. She has been knitting and crocheting for about six years. She is amazing and you have to trust me on this. Anyway, I was in a super hurry to have one of these knifty bags and yesterday, off we went armed with a 40% off coupon to Michaels. We ended up with six balls of yarn and a new crochet hook for Miss B. I went to bed early last night and when I awakened I found that the bag was finished except for the handle. Half an hour later she was finished and now I can show you my brand spankin' new market bag.

I sure am proud of my girl! In the next few weeks, Bonnie will be competing again for a certificate on the national level of The Piano Guild. She has been practicing feverishly for the past few months, and will play nine pieces in front of a Judge next month. Milsey and I are so proud of her and her accomplishments. I feel like I could burst with pride. I will be sure to post how she fares in the competition, so stay tuned...
